This is a tidy and challenging 18 hole course suitable for the whole family.

Rapids Sensation are a one stop adventure shop with kayaking, mountain biking and rafting trips on offer.

Their two signature kayaking trips are to the Maori Rock Carvings and down the Waikato River both have stunning scenery and are good half day activities.

The rafting trips are grade two which are ideal for families and beginners.

If you are not sure of your fitness levels or your fear of heights, anyone from the age of 7 can take part at Rock’‘n Ropes, their half day package is the most popular with a progression of six exhilarating high ropes course activities. Rock’n Ropes is suitable for individuals, couples and groups.

Wairakei Terraces offers an authentic taste of Maori culture, learn all about the skills, arts and crafts of early Maori settlers.

The day time tour includes a visit of the traditional village and geothermal areas.

The night time cultural experience includes a Powhiri (traditional welcome), guided tour, hangi and dance and music performance.

Pack a picnic and enjoy hours of entertainment prawn fishing, hand feeding baby prawns, trout feeding, and touring the nursery and hatchery at Huka Prawn Park.

Children love playing on the aqua trike, pedal boats, stand up paddle boards, water bikes and the gauntlet.  You can even soak your feet in the geothermal foot baths along the edge of the Waikato river. Take your prawns home, or have them cooked for free in the restaurant.
