Stop in at the Savour Café at Taupo DeBretts and indulge yourself. Start off the day with a cooked breakfast, recharge with a burger or other yummy choices for lunch, or grab yourself a milkshake or ice cream after your soak. Open daily from 7:30 am. Situated next door to Taupo DeBretts, Bistro Lago offers breath-taking views, incredible company and tasty food. Perched overlooking the stunning Lake Taupo, Bistro Lago will welcome you with open arms, an open fireplace and balcony for al fresco dining. Enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner carefully curated by Nourish Group Executive Chef Gareth Stewart and Hilton Lake Taupo Executive Chef Adrian Walker. Indian Affair

Indian Affair is hands down the best Indian restaurant in town. It has a very modern and trendy interior which makes it a casual but smart dining experience. The menu has traditional favourites and new modern dishes, with a wide variety of choices at affordable prices.

For a small corkage fee you can take your own bottle of wine, making it perfect for groups. Receive a 10% discount on takeaway orders.

The Brantry has long been considered one of Taupo's finest restaurants.

If you are looking for a family restaurant, The Mole and Chicken could be the perfect solution.  This popular neighbourhood restaurant has a simple but tasty menu, and with half-size portions available there is something for the entire family.

A large, separate bar area allows you to catch all the live sports action, and a large deck area means you can relax with a drink in the afternoon sun.

The Bistro

A new addition to the Taupo dining scene, The Bistro has gained a strong local following by offering a high quality dining experience with affordable prices.

Try the crackled pork belly, confit of Cambridge duck or braised Rangitikei lamb shank.

This is a family business, owned by local chef Jude Messenger who was the winner of the 2011 Monteiths Wild Food Challenge. This is definitely worth a visit.
