With four fully equipped launches, Chris Jolly Outdoors provides everything from daily scenic and brunch cruises to the Maori Rock Carvings, to private fishing charters and even weddings afloat.

Lake Taupo Hole In One Challenge

This fun activity has become a Taupo icon!  Whether you're just there to watch or take a swing yourself, the Taupo Hole in One Challenge is not to be missed. 

You'll attempt to hit golf balls onto an 8m x 12m floating pontoon in the lake, receiving a free ball each time you hit the pontoon.  Use the golfing equipment provided or feel free to bring your own lucky clubs.  There are three holes to go for and fantastic prizes if you hit the jackpot.

The Kinloch Golf Club

The Kinloch Club is NZ’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, and with fantastic drainage it offers year round golfing. 

One of the top 100 golf courses in the world, the Kinloch Club has become a must-do for Kiwi and international golfers alike.

The course boasts stunning scenery and is a place of peace and tranquility.  With fairways surrounded by tussocks, you feel like you are the only one on the course. 

The course is a 20 minute drive from Taupo and is open Wednesdays to Sundays.

Sail Barbary has been locally owned and operated since 1983, and offers Taupo water activities the Kiwi way. You can look out over sparking bays or stormy waters from the comfort of your bean-bag style seating, swim in the crystal clear waters, and have perfect photo opportunities of the 14-meter high Maori Rock Carvings.

Rapids JET

Rapids JET is locally owned by three Kiwi blokes.  It is a 35min thrilling jet boat ride up the Aratiatia Rapids, action packed with 360s, nose dives, wave surfing, and close shaves with trees and canyons.

The base is a 15 minute drive from Taupo DeBretts, with rides leaving at 12.30 and 2.30pm 2.30 all year around, and also at 10.30am over the summer months.
