DeBretts Sundown Soakfest

Every Thursday from 19 January until 9 March Taupo DeBretts is the place to be for awesome summer entertainment.

Soak away in our geothermal mineral pools while you enjoy the live entertainment. We have a great line up ranging from live music to hypnotists, and even a Fireshow! A different act every Thursday will make sure you are never stuck for something to do.

Jump in the pools at 7pm and get ready for the acts to fire up at 7.30pm. There will be a BBQ in the pool area and a range of soft drinks and snacks available.

Summer Sundown SoakFest Line-up

19th January - Guy Cater - Comedic Hypnotist - This act will have you in hysterics. Watch a video of him on YouTube and make your own mind up! Guy, a registered Master Hypnotist, is the only NZ hypnotist to ever headline in Las Vegas. Guy is a member of SHOW, stage hypnotists of the World and a member of the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand.

26th January - Brendan Dugan - A true legend of New Zealand country music and has been entertaining Kiwis for more than four decades. Read his biography

2nd Februrary - Sweet Az Jazz - Matthew Paul & Denhom Orr - A great local jazz duo, perfect poolside music to soak away to. Visit their Facebook page.

9th February - Darcy Perry - one of New Zealand's most loved and respected blues artists, an entertainer with a deep understanding of the blues, he has shared the stage with some of the world's best and it shows, both in his rich guitar tone and electrifying stage presence. Darcy Perry is renowned for his live shows, performing with passion, intensity and a ferocious band. 

16th February - Hamilton Fire Bugs - Haley Harbottle & Friends - A fun way to brighten up your evening with this fireshow. Check their video out!

23rd February - The Live Wires - This exciting new four-piece cover band features Keri Harper and Wayne 'The Guitar Man'. You might recognise Keri as the short, shy blonde girl from 'TrueBliss' - New Zealand's very own Popstarts. Since the age of 16 she fronted the Auckland-based cover band 'Rikoche' and most recently 'Exit23' at the top venues around Auckland.

1st March - Johnny Cash Tribute Band - CASH – The man in black!
Jordan Sievwright and Sam Gale bring you all your favourite Johnny Cash songs as well as the story of his life in this ‘tribute to Johnny Cash’.
Come along and listen to all your favourites such as: walk the line, Ring of Fire and Folsom Prison Blues!
