What a Treat! I was traveling NZ with a friend, and we showed up at Taupo DeBretts without a reservation on an autumn evening last week. The staff were lovely, our cabin was beautifully decorated, very clean and modern. Best of all of course was the access to the spa and mineral baths. Excellent bargain, we were very sorry to check out the next day.
